During the years 1990-2002, my main wargaming interest was in the 19th Century i.e. the period from the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 up until the outbreak of the First World War in 1914.

During that time, I painted many figures and played many games, accounts of which are listed in this section of the website. Rules used were originally Trevor Halsall's Newbury Rules, then an adaptation of the American Civil War rules Johnny Reb that I wrote myself. Ahistorical match-ups are italicised so the purists amongst you can avoid them!

Since 2002, I've only played a couple of games, and what you really notice about the reports is the addition of photographs: we're now in the age of the digital camera, so taking and adding pictures to a post is easy.
