Here is the fourth after action report of a demo game with the scenario "Let’s get at the Bastards" from the supplement Cymru am Byth of the Too Fat Lardies.

On the 9th of August, 1944, northeast of Vire in the bocage, the Welsh Guards supported by tanks of the Scots Guards have to capture a group of buildings on the heights named Le Haut-Perrier. The position is held by elements of the 9. SS Panzer Division Hohenstaufen.

Initial deployment, German side

The British commander launches his attack

A Panzer IV H opens fire and hits a Churchill

British units reach the sunken road

The British left wing and centre attack the hamlet

A StuG III is destroyed near the barn

A British Churchill reaches the last line of hedgerows

A second StuG is destroyed

Another Churchill is destroyed

And another: it's a hazardous crossing

And another: this time by a close assualt from the German squad hidden in the barn

The Germans try to fall back

Result: a major victory for the British side. They control the farms and are in pretty good shape
