Finally, the relentless German counterattack following Operation Bagration has come to a halt in the small town of Devyat.

After pushing the Soviets back across the Chera Valley, the 30th Panzer Division mounted an assault on the Soviet headquarters, which had been stationed in a local cement factory in Devyat. After fierce fighting, with heavy casualties on both sides, the Soviets held the town and will now await reinforcements with hopes of pushing the Germans back once again.

After four campaign games I finally got to hand it to my Buddy's Germans. I really loved rampaging around in the IS-2 after getting run over by Tigers all the time!

The Germans open up the festivities with a mortar assault on the cement factory housing the Soviet headquarters.

A Stug IV zug cautiously advances into the town.

No enemies in sight, the Stug IVs continue forward.

The Soviets are forced to abandon the cement factory.

A Stug IV, hoping to pick off Soviets as they evacuate the cement factory, is suprised to find an IS-2 rolling down the street.

BOOM!

The IS-2 moves on, hunting the other Stug IVs reported in the town.

A 2nd Stug IV is knocked out, followed by a 3rd shortly after.

German infantry advance on the cement factory, hoping to flank the Soviets.

The rest of the Soviet infantry have spread out across the town, taking out pockets of German Infantry as they advance. The town will ultimately be held.
